Job summary

Silgan Plastics in Seymour, Indiana is seeking a production line operator to support high‑volume manufacturing on the safe, continuous production floor. You will follow Silgan safety policies, monitor for defects, and pack finished goods at the standard rate while maintaining clean work areas.

The role involves operating a punch, loading conveyors and flamers, handling scrap, and labeling cartons and unit tickets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ware for quality defects and promptly inform the operator/coordinator.
• Pack at standard rate and maintain production pace.
• Operate a punch and load conveyors and flamers.
• Practice housekeeping on assigned lines, including mopping.
• Remove scrap from around the line and grind/pull plastic as needed.
• Make and unitize cartons, initial and date box labels.
• Prepare and issue unit tickets as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
