Job summary

Prysmian Group in Jackson, TN is seeking a Production Line Operator to run equipment, monitor quality, and maintain safety during 12-hour shift cycles. The role requires basic math, mechanical and computer skills, and the ability to lift and move loads as needed.

Starting pay ranges from $18.00 to $22.00 per hour with a 2-2-3 schedule, paid vacation, holidays, and benefits including health coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and more. Training for forklift operation may be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution.
• Basic mathematic skills; adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and basic percentages.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug test.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
• You must be able to stand up to 12 hours per day.
• Push/pull up to 50 pounds multiple times per day.
• You must be able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
• You must be able to demonstrate mechanical and computer skills.
• Opportunity to be trained and drive fork-lift if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate production line equipment to produce quality product safely and timely.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify hazards for safety initiatives.
• Monitor and inspect product quality using established standards and visual/mechanical checks.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and work orders; log traceability data.
• Assist with setups, loading/unloading, and cross-training activities.
