Salary ($22.43-$28.70)
Overview:

Machine Operators are responsible for continuously monitoring and maintaining product quality based on established standards including visual and mechanical inspection of product, as well as work in a safe manner following all safety policies and procedures. Performing setups in accordance with established procedure, operating, and loading/unloading equipment. Work from written and verbal instructions, procedures and work orders are also required.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Additional responsibilities include: Maintaining and logging all information required supporting traceability and quality, participating in cross-training activities, maintaining work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition, and performing other duties as required or directed.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma, GED
  • 2 year manufacturing machine operation requirement
  • Prior manufacturing experience with the ability to prioritize and pay close attention to detail
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, stooping, and bending is required
  • Must be able to work independently and distinguish colors
  • Must be able to use and read a micrometer
  • The ability to demonstrate your mechanical and computer skills
  • Must have good English skills in reading, writing and communicating
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and to work overtime as the need arises
  • Must be able to pass background check and drug test
Preferred:
  • Prior extrusion experience preferred
  • Wire drawing/extrusion/cabling experience
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Prior extrusion experience preferred
  • Will be required to stand, walk, and bend frequently.
  • Lifting and carrying of 10 to 50 pounds as needed
  • Occasionally required to push and pull reels.
