Job summary

Freshpack is seeking a Production Line Lead to guide daily manufacturing operations in our Wisconsin facility. You will ensure a safe environment, drive efficiency, and train staff to meet production goals.

You will read schedules, monitor inventories, and help optimize line performance while maintaining high quality standards. Responsibilities span safety compliance, data entry for jobs, bottleneck resolution, and equipment setup.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, food production, packaging, or production experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work instructions, and product specifications.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members and supervisors.
• Ability to train and assist employees in proper work procedures and equipment operation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing production needs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a food safe production environment through following policies and procedures.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Read and interpret the production schedule.
• Identify and address bottlenecks in the production process.
• Retrieve and review Shop Orders (SO).
• Locate and organize materials in the warehouse.
• Issue pallets accurately and efficiently.
• Use digital forms to verify compliance.
• Walk the production line and complete SPECs.
• Track production goals based on headcount (KPI).
• Perform product testing and quality checks.
• Set up and operate equipment.
• Provide leadership and address and resolve problems.
