Job summary

Nature Fresh Farms, LLC is seeking a Production Line Lead in Laredo, TX to supervise 10-20 staff on production lines, ensure orders meet specs, and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work area. You will train employees on Nature Fresh procedures, manage PPE usage, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor on operational issues.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and detail-oriented work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, oral communication and listening are essential tools for the job.
• Basic math and numerical accuracy are required.
• Strong organization and attention to detail are essential.
• Experience with fresh produce is a plus.
• Spanish is an advantage for communication with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Delegate work to 10-20 employees on production lines and train staff.
• Review daily work orders to ensure packaging meets customer specs.
• Monitor lines for efficiency and troubleshoot to keep lines moving.
• Ensure queues and lines are clean and ready for each order.
• Oversee inventory of packaging materials and reallocate as needed.
• Complete documentation and paperwork as required by management.
• Report issues to the Production Supervisor promptly.

We are currently looking to fill a Full-Time, permanent position for a Production Line Lead in our Production Department at our Laredo, TX facility.

What You’ll Do (Job Specific Tasks):

• Delegate work to 10-20 employees on production lines, including training, organizing, and delegating employees to achieve required performance levels.
• Review daily work orders and ensure packages are completed to customer specifications.
• Monitoring production lines to ensure they are running efficiently; Quickly troubleshooting to keep lines moving.
• Make sure the queues are ready before starting each order.
• Make sure the lines are properly cleaned after completing each order.
• Ensure that employees are properly trained in all Nature Fresh procedures, including occupational health and safety procedures.
• Ensure that employees work safely at all times and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) or other safety equipment.
• Make sure work areas are always clean and protected from hazards.
• Oversees inventory of packaging materials and reallocation as needed.
• Accurately complete all related documentation and paperwork as required by management.
• Report operational issues or delays to the Production Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Informs the Production Supervisor of employment relationship issues so that the Supervisor can handle them in a timely and appropriate manner.

What You Bring (Qualifications):

• Reading, writing, oral communication, and effective listening skills are essential tools for the job
• Basic and efficient math skills are required.
• Organization and attention to detail are essential.
• Previous experience with fresh produce is a plus.
• Able to work well with minimal supervision most of the day.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.
• You must show a respectful and positive attitude.
• Committed to continuous learning, as each day presents new information and exciting challenges.
• Spanish is an advantage.
• You must be available to work Monday through Saturday; hours will vary depending on business needs.

What To Expect (Working Conditions & Physical Requirements):

• Fast-paced warehouse environment where temperatures range from cooler to temperature-controlled areas.
• Work with a wide variety of people and cultures in a team environment.
• You may occasionally need to lift, bend, twist, and reach as needed.
• Balancing sitting, standing, and walking around the warehouse and fridges – some desk work
