Job summary

We are currently looking to fill a full‑time, permanent position for a Marketing & Events Manager in our Marketing Department at our Leamington office.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and maintain an annual event calendar, ensuring alignment with business goals and key industry opportunities.
  • Research and identify new event and sponsorship opportunities that elevate the brand and strengthen customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and other departments to define event objectives, key messaging, and success metrics.
  • Lead the planning and execution of trade shows, industry events, customer activations, and internal engagements, ensuring alignment with brand and business strategies.
  • Manage pre‑event planning, including briefings with key stakeholders and attendees to align on messaging, objectives, and expected outcomes.
Event Execution & On‑Site Management
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, contract negotiation, travel arrangements, and hospitality management.
  • Ensure all event materials—including signage, displays, and promotional items—are on‑brand, engaging, and strategically placed.
  • Conduct on‑site inspections and manage event execution to ensure a flawless attendee experience and brand representation.
  • Troubleshoot and adapt in real time to any challenges that arise before or during an event.
  • Organize post‑event debriefs, assess event success, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Advertising & Brand Presence
  • Lead the planning and execution of advertising initiatives (consumer and B2B), ensuring alignment with key marketing objectives.
  • Partner with the Creative & Content teams to develop compelling marketing materials, digital assets, and event collateral.
  • Work closely with agency partners and media vendors to optimize advertising placements, sponsorships, and brand activations.
  • Ensure all event and advertising materials adhere to brand standards, delivering a consistent and impactful message.
Budget & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage and maintain event budgets, ensuring cost‑effective planning and execution.
  • Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, partners, and internal stakeholders to align on deliverables.
  • Communicate event status, updates, and key milestones with all relevant teams and leadership.
  • Oversee promotional merchandise, gifts, and swag.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze event performance, gather stakeholder feedback, and report on ROI and key takeaways.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and innovations in event marketing, recommending ways to enhance future activations.
  • Continuously refine event processes and marketing strategies to improve impact and efficiency.
General
  • Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Event Management or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in event planning, trade show management, or marketing communications.
  • Proven experience in managing B2B and B2C events, sponsorship activations, and advertising initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across departments and with external partners.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving abilities and a proactive approach to event execution.
  • Proficiency in event management software, budgeting tools, and marketing platforms.
  • Ability to travel as needed for event execution and industry engagements.
What To Expect
  • Mainly office setting with some warehouse/greenhouse as needed – walking sitting and standing throughout the day.
  • Monday‑Friday, with occasional Saturdays, after hours and holidays as needed. Hours may fluctuate according to business needs.
  • Balance between sitting, standing, and walking.
  • There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting (when needed).
  • May be required to visit all locations that require walking/standing that may be in a cold warehouse setting or hot greenhouse setting.
  • May be required to participate in promotions, tradeshows and/or company events.
  • Travel to different locations within and outside of Canada as needed.
