Job summary

Synthomer is seeking a senior process engineer to lead manufacturing operations and drive safe, reliable production across our facilities in the United States. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to deliver process improvements and capital projects.

The role emphasizes leadership, data‑driven problem solving and cross‑functional communication to achieve production targets and optimize yield while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Experience with process control systems and continuous chemical processing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing units to ensure safe, stable and reliable operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to support business objectives using the Management of Change process.
• Develop and review procedures and provide operator training as needed.
• Lead incident investigations into process and equipment failures as appropriate.
• Serve as the Division Representative on capital projects to improve productivity and capacity in the manufacturing department.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses and coordinate timely resolution plans to meet project deadlines.
• Interface with HSES, Product Development, Maintenance, Process Improvement, and other supporting organizations to prioritize and initiate projects.
