Job summary

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, seeks a Production Manager to lead facility production lines (trusses, millwork, insulation, doors, windows, etc.).

Under the General Manager, you’ll plan operations, ensure quality and cost efficiency, and drive safety programs with OSHA/DOT compliance. Strong leadership and 4–5 years of lumber/materials experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4–5 years of directly related experience in lumber/building materials with supervision experience.
• Knowledge of building materials, procurement, inventory management and people supervision required.
• Strong customer service experience and good organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall production and physical conditions of the facility and equipment.
• Plan and prioritize production operations to meet schedules.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
• Review production reports and resolve operational, maintenance, or cost issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies (DOT, forklift, OSHA) and train staff accordingly.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and working practices.
• Model leadership; interview, hire, and develop team members; manage performance.
