Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Montrose, CO seeks a Production Supervisor to manage facility lines (trusses, millwork, insulation, doors, windows) under the General Manager. You will oversee production, train staff, and ensure on-time, cost-efficient output that meets specifications.

The role requires a 4-5 year background in lumber/building materials, plus strong leadership and customer service skills. A bonus program and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from 4-year college or university and 4-5 years of directly related experience in lumber/building materials.
• Knowledge in building materials, procurement, inventory management and supervision of people.
• Strong customer service experience and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production and equipment conditions; train and develop personnel.
• Review production orders to plan department operations and schedules.
• Plan production operations; set priorities and sequences for manufacturing.
• Coordinate manufacturing activities to meet quality and timing specs.
• Review reports; resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues.
• Inspect machines to ensure performance and optimal use.
