Job summary

Schaeffler is seeking a production leader to oversee manufacturing operations in the United States. You will ensure adherence to standards, lead scheduling, review orders, and allocate resources to meet KPIs while driving continuous improvement in quality, cost, and delivery.

The role requires an associate degree in a related field and several years of production leadership experience, with knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. On-site work at our Connecticut facility is expected.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering, manufacturing or operations management; degree can be substituted by relevant work experience.
  • Several years in manufacturing/production with leadership experience.
  • Understanding of production processes and systems, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing and motivating production teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that optimize production processes.
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R.
  • 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Review and approve production orders, and allocate internal operational resources accordingly.
  • Ensure the availability of required production infrastructure, including tools, maintenance support, and setup operations.
  • Identify and recommend procedural or organizational improvements to support continuous improvement in QCD.

Your Qualifications

  • Understanding of production processes and systems, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
