Job summary

Schaeffler in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Machine Operator to prepare and run production lines, set up tooling, and monitor processes to ensure quality. You will follow work orders and document any deviations.

• Prepare machines for production by tooling and parametrization per work order.
• Perform operations while monitoring machine/production processes.
• Check production status within and between sequences and act on deviations.
• Inspect finished parts and conduct checks or functional tests.
• Support maintenance in regular inspections and repair measures.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for the production program, by tooling and parametrization according to work order
• Perform operations while controlling machine/production processes
• Check production status within and in between each production sequence and take action in case of deviations
• Check finished parts/component, perform specific checks or functionality tests
• Support maintenance in regular inspections and repair measures

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and write clear communication in English
• Ability to operate medium complex machinery in a manufacturing environment
• Good visual acuity
• Ability to lift medium-heavy objects if required
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

Preferred

• Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with power tools
• Ability to read Blueprints
