Job summary

Menasha Corporation seeks a Welding Team Leader in our facility to evaluate workloads, direct Welding Line Leads and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will coordinate training and onboarding for new welders, ensure quality standards, and promote continuous improvement, 5S and STW activities within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Welding Certification required/desired.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate workloads and provide direction to Welding Line Leads.
• Coordinate with HR the training and onboarding of new employees in the Welding department.
• Ensure teams produce products that meet quality specifications.
• Comply with safety requirements and protocols in a welding environment.
• Respond to assigned requests and complete work based on priority; communicate status with supervisor.
• Maintain safe and efficient work using PPE and required devices.
• Be involved in Continuous Improvement; promote CI, 5S and STW activities.
• Contribute to team efforts.
• Ensure teams maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Trained and certified in area assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Communicate with the supervisor and other ORBIS personnel for any activities affecting safety, quality or production.1. Evaluate and distribute welding workloads to Welding Line Leads, as needed.2. Coordinate with HR the training and onboarding of new employees in the Welding department3. Ensure teams are producing products that meet quality specifications.4. Gain familiarity with and comply with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a welding environment.5. Respond to assigned requests and completing work based on priority; communicate work statuses with supervisor.6. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).7. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.8. Contribute to team efforts.9. Ensures teams are maintaining a clean and safe work environment.10. Trained and certified in area assignments.11.
