Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking a skilled Welding Team Lead in Greenville, SC to evaluate workloads, direct designated teams, and ensure safe, efficient production.

You will partner with HR for onboarding, maintain quality standards, and drive CI/5S improvements while training staff and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must have welding experience in a production setting.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating workloads.
• Familiar with CI/5S principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and distribute welding workloads to line leads.
• Coordinate training and onboarding of new welding department employees.
• Ensure products meet quality specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow STW/CI procedures.
• Communicate progress and status with supervisor; assist in CI activities.

About The Opportunity

In a welding team environment, evaluate workloads and provide direction to designated teams while providing a safe operation. Communicate with the supervisor and other ORBIS personnel for any activities affecting safety, quality or production.

• Evaluate and distribute welding workloads to Welding Line Leads, as needed.
• Coordinate with HR the training and onboarding of new employees in the Welding department
• Ensure teams are producing products that meet quality specifications.
• Gain familiarity with and comply with all safety requirements and protocols for working in a welding environment.
• Respond to assigned requests and completing work based on priority; communicate work statuses with supervisor.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
• Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
• Contribute to team efforts.
• Ensures teams are maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Trained and certified in area assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.
