Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in Newnan, GA is seeking a Production Lead to support daily operations and promote safety and quality on the floor. You will relay information from the production supervisor, train staff, and help resolve issues to meet schedules.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work rotating shifts and overtime, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fully trained on all aspects of the production line.
• Willingness and ability to train others.
• Willingness to be cross trained on other production lines.
• Strong knowledge of production and warehouse procedures.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work rotating, off-shifts, and overtime.
• Willingness to work as part of a team or independently as required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Perform basic addition and subtraction using a calculator.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Ability to stand for 12-hour intervals in a hot work environment.
• Experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a safe manner.

Responsibilities

• Meet required production schedules while promoting safety, quality, and teamwork.
• Serve as extension of the production supervisor.
• Communicate Safety Alerts.
• Provide training and retraining to new, current, or reassigned employees.
• Serve as point of contact for new hires; assign a work shadow as required.
• Ensure operators receive daily operations information, goals, targets, and instructions.
• Make adjustments to process and distribution to correct and prevent quality issues.
• Identify and modify opportunities on quality test and results.
• Send the production shift report and update the communication board.
• Maintain clean and organized production floor.
• Investigate and complete safety incident reports.
• Backfill other leads or team members' work activity based on absenteeism.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
