Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the production floor, ensure safe and efficient operations, and drive continuous improvement. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong process understanding, and collaboration with quality, logistics, and management to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate will develop employees, manage shifts, and enforce safety and quality standards while maintaining accurate documentation and production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial production preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow written procedures and technical instructions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment and enforce safety/quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies and PPE.
• Schedule and manage daily/weekly production to meet safety and quality standards.
• Assign personnel to lines and monitor progress; adjust priorities as needed.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality to minimize downtime and ensure quality.
• Lead and develop employees; establish clear expectations and provide coaching.
• Participate in continuous improvement and root-cause investigations.
