Job summary

Verdant Specialty Solutions LLC in University Park, IL is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily plant operations for an assigned shift. You will manage a team of operators, ensure safety, quality, and on-time production against the daily plan.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes presence on the floor, coaching and developing staff, and enforcing HSSE standards to sustain continuous improvement and reliable shift-to-shift performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree preferred (2–4 year) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Chemical industry and/or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot plant issues using practical knowledge.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shift including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities for an assigned shift.
• Ensure compliance with HSSE policies and permit systems.
• Coach and develop team through performance management.
• Drive daily production plan execution and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate maintenance and entry of work notifications.
