Job summary

SteelSummit is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team, uphold safety, quality, and efficiency, and report to the Plant Manager.

You will oversee daily production activities, coordinate scheduling, drive continuous improvement, and ensure 5S compliance while partnering with Quality, Maintenance, HR and Logistics.

Candidates should have proven supervisory experience in steel or industrial settings and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of production employees to meet performance targets and uphold safety standards.
• Oversee day-to-day production activities, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation.
• Ensure that safety protocols and 5S housekeeping are followed, and plant is tour/audit-ready.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Inside Sales, HR and Logistics to resolve production issues and optimize workflow.
• Monitor production metrics (productivity, downtime, waste) and drive continuous improvements.
• Perform delegated administrative tasks including timecards and related paperwork.
