Job summary

Ferrero International S.A. is seeking a production associate in Florence, KY to coordinate line staff, execute daily production plans, and uphold safety, quality, and efficiency on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned personnel to meet plant goals for safety, quality, and productivity on a line and shift.
• Execute daily production plans and assist in equipment change recommendations.
• Train and monitor GMP standards with emphasis on safety, housekeeping and quality.
• Empower and develop staff to make decisions in their areas.
• Provide leadership, assess tasks, and report performance to the Production Supervisor.

Assists in facilitating and achieving plant goals of safety, food safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity. Incorporates Company associate relations philosophy of "Associate Empowerment" to foster a positive work environment. Visibly supports Company policy, decisions, and objectives at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

• Utilizing available resources, coordinates efforts of assigned personnel to achieve plant performance goals of safety, quality, efficiency, sanitation, scrap and attendance on a line and shift.
• Carries out daily production plans; works with associates to develop recommendations for changes to equipment; completes all work orders, personnel, and shift reports as assigned in absence of the Production Supervisor.
• Communicates, trains and monitors good manufacturing practice standards with special emphasis in the areas of safety, housekeeping and quality.
• "Empowers" assigned personnel to become self-directing. Develops assigned personnel to make decisions pertaining to their operational areas and bounds.
• Serves as a resource, providing leadership and training to assigned personnel; assesses job assignments, methods and priorities with associate input; evaluates performance of assigned personnel to the Production Supervisor
• Performs other duties as directed or as necessity dictates.

About You:

A high school diploma or GED

Knowledge of; operation of batch manufacturing equipment; operation of high-speed packaging; production maintenance; sanitation; distribution or administrative specialties required.

Food Manufacturing background preferred.
