Job summary

Specialty Building Products (SBP) is seeking a Production Team Lead to join our VALUES-based organization. Compensation starts at $21.50 per hour, based on experience and skill level.

You will focus on leading the production area, mentoring new employees, and driving process improvements with cross-training support. Responsibilities include ensuring station readiness, coordinating with the Supervisor on material needs, and promoting a culture of safety and quality across the team.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience in doors or millwork preferred.
• Carpentry knowledge helpful in production settings.
• Experience in building materials distribution is a plus.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stocking workstations with consumables and participate in weekly raw material inventory.
• Coordinate with Supervisor to identify items needed for coworkers to complete daily tasks.
• Mentor new employees within the production zone and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Serve as SME for processes in the production area and support cross-training efforts.
• Study and recommend new procedures to improve efficiency of processes and workflows.
• Advise Production Supervisor on training progress and performance concerns within area of responsibility.
