Job summary

Luxfer Gas Cylinders is seeking a Production Lead in Riverside, CA to direct and train hourly staff in set-up, machine operation, and lean manufacturing principles. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency within a high‑volume production environment for high‑pressure cylinders.

The candidate should have five years related experience, strong leadership, and proficiency in print reading; a background in 5S and lean methods is preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Direct and motivate hourly employees; review processes and productivity daily.
• Familiar with 5S, lean concepts, and safe manufacturing practices.
• Computer literate; print reading skills required.

Responsibilities

• Meet daily production schedules and direct hourly employees.
• Maintain safe work environment via 5S and safety procedures.
• Oversee machine operators and inspectors throughout production.
• Supervise training and sign-off for machinery and equipment operations.
• Monitor efficiency (≥95%) for operators and inspectors.
• Improve machine production and efficiencies with cross-functional teams.
