Job summary

Luxfer Gas Cylinders in Riverside, CA is seeking a Production Lead for the Riverside facility on the 1st shift (Portables). The role directs and trains hourly staff in setup, machine operation, 5S, lean manufacturing concepts, and quality requirements to produce high‑pressure cylinders safely and efficiently.

You will monitor daily schedules, safety, and efficiency (targeting 95% or higher), oversee operators and inspectors, and drive continuous improvement with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Familiar with process involved in producing high‑pressure cylinders.
• Completion of inspecting/set up training program.
• Capable of handling multiple objectives in a high‑volume setting.
• Print reading and computer literacy required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and train hourly employees in setup, machine operation, 5S, and lean concepts.
• Meet daily production schedules and review processes for efficiency.
• oversee machine operators and inspectors throughout production.
• Train staff to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
• Monitor efficiency and improve machine center performance with cross‑functional teams.
