Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Midwest in Illinois is seeking a department supervisor responsible for all production operations on the shift, including shearing, bending, forklift and crane tasks, and coating processes. You will lead a team, enforce safety, quality and housekeeping standards, assign daily workload, train teammates, and ensure on-time fabrication.

Requirements include 5 years in production and 3 years in supervision, a high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and no recent

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in production environment or related experience.
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory role.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
• No new corrective actions within the past 24 months.
• No unexcused absences in the past 12 months.
• No Safety or Quality alerts in the past 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production operations and assign shift work.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimize delays.
• Maintain and coordinate department equipment maintenance.
• Track data for production reports and incentives.
• Train teammates and assign mentors to improve efficiency.
