Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication Southwest in Lathrop, CA is seeking a Production Supervisor to enforce company policies and guide a safety-first team in steel fabrication operations. You will align with the Production Manager to maintain safety standards, processes, and performance across the shop floor.

The role demands strong leadership, hands-on oversight of scheduling, training, and inventory coordination, with emphasis on cost management and on-time delivery to customers.

Responsibilities

• Direct shop leads and teammates with respect to safety, production volume, cost, quality, and meeting schedules.
• Manage workforce levels and scheduling including overtime to meet customer needs and control costs.
• Oversee hiring, training, motivation, evaluation, and development of workshop staff.
• Coordinate inventory and order reinforcing steel to meet customer requirements within inventory goals.
• Ensure machinery and facilities are maintained for efficient production.
• Authorize and purchase replacement parts; recommend capital expenditures as needed.
• Provide operating data to the Branch Manager for cost control and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain positive employee relations and enforce company policy.
