Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication in Belvidere, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to own safety and keep production running by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on steel fabrication equipment and systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment, generate parts lists, train teammates, and help with machine guards and safety devices, reporting to the Branch Manager.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance to ensure safe and optimum functioning equipment, systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify equipment to maintain workplace safety and production efficiency.
• Generate parts lists and labor time estimates for maintenance and repairs.
• Train key shop teammates on new equipment and/or modifications to existing equipment.
• Maintain repair records.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
