Job summary

Aerotek in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily manufacturing operations, guide a line crew, and maintain safety and GMP compliance while ensuring product quality.

You will monitor packaging, manage work orders with Mapics RF tools, use a handheld scanner, run reports, and coordinate with shifts to ensure smooth transitions and timely production. This onsite role starts on 1st shift with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in basic math skills, including fractions.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and interpret bar graphs.
• Common sense understanding to conduct instructions and deal with standardized problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead workers to produce products and monitor daily activities.
• Receive specs and work orders to determine production and packaging needs.
• Ensure safety and GMP compliance; communicate issues to supervisors.
• Operate handheld scanner to manage manufacturing software and record transactions.
• Reconcile department staging area using Mapics RF tools.
• Enter Work Orders and run automated reports.
• Schedule and monitor lunches and breaks of crew members.
• Perform and supervise housekeeping and sanitation per GMP standards.
• Monitor product quality and safety documentation; report production data.
• Direct crews to improve line efficiency and reduce bottlenecks.
