Job summary

International Paper in Dover, DE is seeking a Converting Supervisor to lead a shift of hourly employees in the corrugated production environment. You will supervise daily operations, train and direct staff, drive safety, quality, productivity and engagement to meet goals.

You will communicate operational information to crew members, supervisors, plant management and external customers, and promote safety and quality programs across the site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, safety and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, train and evaluate staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervisor to one assigned shift of hourly employees and lead safety, quality, productivity and engagement to meet goals.
• Supervise daily production of corrugated board, train and direct staff, evaluate performance, promote safety and teamwork.
• Lead by example to ensure a safe environment and quality product.
• Communicate operational information to crew, supervisors, management and external customers/vendors.
• Promote compliance with safety, quality and other programs within the organization.
