Job summary

Wis-Pak, Inc. in Watertown, WI is seeking a Production Lead to oversee shift operations and guide a team of production staff to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals.

You will train team members, enforce company policies, and coordinate across departments to keep lines running smoothly, while maintaining strong communication and a focus on safety and GMPs in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing or production experience required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills required.
• Ability to read, write, and think critically; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support all personnel and production activities during your shift.
• Ensure safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
• Train team members and ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Perform and oversee package and product changeovers.
• Monitor production performance to maintain low-cost, high-quality operations.
• Develop understanding of processes and equipment to support your team.
• Communicate clearly with employees, supervisors, and the next shift for smooth transitions.
• Enforce safety standards and proper PPE usage at all times.
• Follow and reinforce quality assurance and food safety guidelines.
• Ensure proper use of raw materials and promotional materials.
• Support other departments to keep operations moving.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Shift/Work Schedule: 1:30pm-10:00pm, Monday-Friday

Pay range: $24.90/hr + $1.75 Shift Differential

About the Role

As a Production Lead, you’ll oversee shift operations and lead a team of production employees to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. You’ll ensure proper training, enforce company policies, and maintain strong communication across departments to keep everything running smoothly.

What You’ll Do:

As a Production Lead Person, you’ll be the go-to leader for your shift. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting all personnel and production activities during your shift.
• Ensuring safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards are consistently met.
• Training team members and helping ensure everyone follows company policies and procedures.
• Performing and overseeing package and product changeovers.
• Monitoring production performance and helping maintain low-cost, high-quality operations.
• Developing a strong understanding of processes and equipment to support your team effectively.
• Communicating clearly and regularly with employees, supervisors, and the next shift to ensure smooth transitions.
• Enforcing safety standards and ensuring proper PPE is used at all times.
• Following and reinforcing quality assurance guidelines and food safety requirements.
• Making sure raw materials and promotional materials are used properly and efficiently.
• Supporting other departments and stepping in where needed to keep operations moving.
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment through housekeeping, coding, and recycling efforts.
• Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities.
