Job summary

Staffmark in Fort Mill, SC is hiring a Production Lead (Direct Hire) to oversee shifts and keep production moving smoothly. The role offers on-site work with a pay rate of $21.00–$22.00 per hour and on-the-floor training to get you up to speed.

You will work with a team to ensure safety, quality, and productivity, mentoring associates and coordinating with the Shift Manager to meet throughput goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in high-volume manufacturing.
• Stand, bend, twist, lift (up to) 50 lbs.
• Teamwork-oriented and safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety guidelines and actively participate in required safety training.
• Maintain knowledge of product quality standards and inspect products for compliance.
• Use hourly performance tracking tools to support achievement of quality and productivity goals.
• Understand production processes and productivity standards to meet targets.
• Partner with the Shift Manager to plan staffing and provide updates on area performance.

Schedules:
(2nd Shift | Monday – Thursday | 4 PM – 4 AM)
(3rd Shift | Thursday – Sunday | 4 AM – 4 PM)
(4th Shift | Thursday – Sunday | 4 PM – 4 AM)

Job Duties

Safety

• Follow all safety guidelines and actively participate in required safety training.
• Promote a safe work environment with a “See something, do something” mindset.
• Report safety incidents in accordance with company policy.

Quality

• Maintain knowledge of product quality standards within assigned area.
• Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Report defects and take corrective action when necessary.
• Use hourly performance tracking tools to support achievement of quality goals.

Productivity

• Understand production processes and productivity standards.
• Support adherence to equipment crewing and throughput standards.
• Use hourly tracking tools to ensure productivity goals are met.

Teamwork

• Partner with the Shift Manager to plan staffing needs and provide updates on area and associate performance.
• Mentor employees on proper equipment operation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth production flow.
• Train associates on safety, quality, and productivity standards, including hands-on demonstrations.
• Maintain clear communication through team huddles and regular updates with the Shift Manager.
