Job summary

ITG Brands – a leading tobacco company in the U.S. – is seeking a Production Lead based in Cayey, Puerto Rico. The role focuses on driving manufacturing efficiency, safety, and cost performance by guiding Supervisors and coordinating daily operations across a Lean framework.

You will implement continuous improvement, monitor KPIs, and lead training to build capability. The position anchors ITG’s commitment to quality and regulatory compliance in a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science or 6–8 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of process improvement and CI methodologies.
• Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate production plans, maintenance schedules, and daily operations.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors to drive performance, accountability, and results.
• Implement Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor production performance and track KPIs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive training and certification programs to build team capability and support a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, FDA, and environmental regulations.
• Promote 6S workplace organization standards and operational discipline.
• Act as deputy to the Production & CI Manager, supporting leadership, reporting, and project execution.

What You’ll Do

The Role

The Production Lead is responsible for driving operational efficiency by leading Production Supervisors and coordinating daily manufacturing activities. This role focuses on optimizing workflows, eliminating waste, and embedding Lean practices to enhance safety, quality, and cost performance across operations.

What You’ll Lead

• Act as a key partner across Operations, CI, and leadership teams to solve problems and improve processes
• Serve as deputy to the Production & CI Manager, supporting leadership, reporting, and project execution

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science (or 6–8 years of manufacturing leadership experience)
• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills with knowledge of process improvement and CI methodologies
• Ability to drive change, influence stakeholders, and lead in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Preferred

• Experience leading cross-functional projects and change management initiatives
• Strong background in Lean manufacturing and operational excellence programs
