Aerotek is seeking a Production Lead for the Blast, Paint & Hydro Group in a hands-on leadership role. You will oversee the Blast, Paint and Hydrostatic Testing teams, drive safety, quality and throughput, and mentor staff for performance improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Blast, Paint, Hydro Testing or similar industrial environments
• Leadership, supervisory or production management experience
• Hands-on industrial painting and sandblasting
• Experience training and developing manufacturing employees
• Strong production, quality and safety knowledge
• Basic Word and Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a plus)
• Strong organizational, communication and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations in Blast, Paint and Hydro departments
• Conduct pre-shift meetings and set work priorities
• Train and develop employees to improve performance
• Ensure work orders are completed safely, accurately and on time

What You'll Do

• Lead daily operations within the Blast, Paint, and Hydro departments

• Conduct pre‑shift meetings and assign work priorities

• Train, mentor, and develop employees to maximize team performance

• Ensure work orders are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule

• Support production goals related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery

• Troubleshoot production challenges and resolve day‑to‑day operational issues

• Coordinate manpower and scheduling to meet customer demand

• Complete production reports, attendance records, payroll documentation, and training records

• Assist with safety initiatives, incident investigations, and continuous improvement efforts

• Act as a plant First Responder when needed

• Work alongside your team performing:

• Industrial Painting

• Sandblasting

• Paint Preparation

• Hydrostatic Testing

• Sanding and Surface Preparation

• General Production Activities

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Blast, Paint, Hydro Testing, or similar industrial environments

Previous leadership, supervisory, or production management experience

Hands‑on industrial painting and sandblasting experience

Experience training and developing manufacturing employees

Strong understanding of production, quality, and safety standards

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills

Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus

Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities

Schedule

Monday - Friday

• 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Overtime Available

• Frequent extended shifts until approximately 5:30 PM

• Occasional Saturdays: 5:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Work Environment

Industrial manufacturing facility with Blast, Paint, and Hydro Testing operations. This is a non‑climate‑controlled environment requiring adherence to all safety policies and the use of appropriate PPE.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Catoosa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
