Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Paint Line Supervisor for our OLATHE, KS facility. The role focuses on safely operating powder coating and paint line equipment to apply high-quality finishes to metal generator enclosures and components.

You will support production schedules while upholding quality, safety, and ISO standards. Responsibilities include operating Nordson coating systems, applying powder paint, and performing preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• Powder coating experience is essential.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience with mechanical assembly and MIG welding.
• 6+ months of powder coating experience required.
• Experience in sandblasting, general labor, and assembly work.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Safely and consistently operate Nordson powder coating equipment and machines.
• Apply powder paint to specified products to meet quality standards and customer needs.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks specified by the Paint Line Lead.
• Unload/load 50 lbs. boxes of powder paint into topcoat/primer coat booths.
• Maintain a clean work area, daily cleaning of primer and topcoat paint booths.
• Assist paint line loaders with part loading/unloading tasks as needed.
• Contribute to maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Paint Line Supervisor is responsible for safely and efficiently operating powder coating and paint line equipment to apply high-quality finishes to metal generator enclosures and components. This role supports production schedules while ensuring all quality, safety, and ISO 9001:2015 standards are met in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely and consistently operate Nordson powder coating equipment and machines.
• Apply powder paint to specified products to meet quality standards and customer needs.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance tasks specified by the Paint Line Lead.
• Unload/load 50 lbs. boxes of powder paint into topcoat/primer coat booths.
• Maintain a clean work area, ensuring daily cleaning of primer and topcoat paint booths.
• Assist paint line loaders with part loading/unloading tasks as needed.
• Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.

Work Environment

The position is based in a clean, non-climate controlled manufacturing facility in Olathe, KS. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with additional hours as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of OLATHE, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
