Job description

Leer-Production Lead Carroll (2nd Shift)
  • Direct, supervise and lead the work of employees and handle administrative functions to safely meet production goals
  • Prepare and conduct 30, 60, and 90 day performance evaluations for new hires
  • Prepare and conduct annual performance evaluations for assigned team
  • Work with supervisor to create and discuss team member annual performance goals
  • Assist with and provide training for employees to safely operate machines and follow processes and procedures
  • Identify, recommend and implement safety and productivity improvements that are approved
  • Work with supervisor and other leads to achieve schedule as required
  • Assist in monitoring and evaluating all materials and quality processes
  • Follow and commit to meet company policies and procedures for safety, quality, production, efficiency, final inspection, and shipping
  • Provide lead support over materials handling, production, warehouse, or multiple areas within the plant that may span multiple departments or functions
  • Audit the floor, monitor productivity metrics, verify adherence to procedures and standard work, correct deficiencies and escalate to supervisor as necessary
  • Coordinate with supervisor to review and maintain schedules to ensure resources are available to meet schedule. Ensure that accurate information is reported, and the appropriate paperwork is completed and turned in
  • Communicate with oncoming shifts about any problems or issues that are occurring.
  • Work with other departments to maintain or improve communications
  • Other areas of responsibility as needed

May also perform one or more of the following:

  • Assist in start-up, shut down, checking, and troubleshooting of lines as necessary.
  • Set up operators daily to provide coverage if needed to make sure all lines are properly covered.
  • Conduct quality checks, correct deficiencies, and initiate quality audits as necessary
  • Check all products and/or materials in the department to ensure quality product is being produced and appropriate inventory levels are being maintained.
  • Notify and collaborate with maintenance department as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to understand and execute instructions
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 environment
  • Must have a good understanding of the Walk-In production process
  • Ability to have a flexible work schedule and attend meetings as required

Essential Functions:

  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to use repetitive motions
  • Ability to reach overhead and/or above shoulder height frequently
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Night shift
Perform a wide variety of duties to lead and maintain production efficiencies at maximum output levels. Work with Plant Supervisor and support all assigned personnel and materials, resources and equipment requirements during respective shift. While performing the duties listed below, the lead is required to spend 85% of time on the floor.
