We are currently hiring for: Production Lead Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead and coordinate the activities of the production team to ensure daily production targets are met.
    • Provide training, mentorship, and support to team members to enhance their skills and productivity.
    • Manage staffing levels and ensure effective workforce allocation to meet production demands.
  • Production Planning and Execution:
    • Ensure smooth execution of the production schedule, adjusting as necessary to meet changing demands.
    • Oversee the proper handling, processing, and packaging of poultry products to maintain quality and efficiency.
    • Monitor production rates, product quality, and operational efficiency to ensure maximum output.
  • Quality Control:
    • Enforce strict adherence to food safety standards, quality control procedures, and product specifications.
    • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, production lines, and work areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
    • Address and resolve any production-related issues, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring that all team members adhere to company safety policies.
    • Report safety hazards, near-misses, and incidents, investigating and following up on corrective actions.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and sustainability standards.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management:
    • Oversee the proper maintenance of production equipment and ensure that any malfunctions are promptly reported.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of raw materials, ensuring that the necessary supplies are available to meet production schedules.
    • Assist in the ordering of materials and components required for production.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously monitor production processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in production operations using lean manufacturing principles.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory levels, and employee performance.
    • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, and safety to senior management.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in manufacturing, food science, or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of [X] years of experience in production management or supervisory roles in a food manufacturing environment, preferably in poultry processing.
    • Experience in managing production teams, overseeing large-scale manufacturing operations, and working with food safety standards (HACCP, USDA, etc.).
  • Skills and Abilities:
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
    • In-depth knowledge of poultry manufacturing processes, equipment, and food safety standards.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with production management software.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs as needed.
    • Willingness to work in a cold, wet, and potentially noisy production environment.

Work Conditions:
