Job summary

Livestock Nutrition Center, a leading regional feed manufacturer, is seeking Production Laborers to operate mill equipment, support maintenance tasks, and assist in daily production activities. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with preferred forklift/Skid Steer/Front end loader experience.

Safety and teamwork are essential as some weekend work in winter months may be required.

Qualifications

• Walk and stand for 10 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Keep the mill and surrounding grounds clean.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist in repairs and maintenance with staff and contractors; support Project Manager requests.
• Help maximize mill and crew efficiency.
• Maintain inventory of macro and micro ingredients.
• Ensure ingredients meet LNC quality standards.
• Safely operate equipment after training; follow safety/OSHA practices.
• Perform other related operational tasks as needed.

We are currently hiring mill production operators, including light equipment operators, who can work with a flexible schedule.Responsibilities & DutiesEnsure the mill is kept clean, including the grounds surrounding the mill.Ensure daily, weekly, monthly routine preventative maintenance tasks are completed.Assist in repair and maintenance projects with the maintenance staff and contractors, as well as fulfill Project Manager requests.Assist in maximizing efficiency of the mill and crew.Maintain inventory of macro and micro ingredients.Ensure quality of ingredients are of LNC standards.Safely and efficiently operate equipment, following proper training of all equipment.Ensure company safety practices are followed, along with OSHA standards.Perform any other related operational processes and tasks deemed necessary by local management.Qualifications & SkillsAbility to walk and stand for 10hours/day.Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs.Forklift, Skid Steer, Front end loader experience preferred.Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions, including exposure to dust, extreme heat or cold.Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.Maintain safe working environment.Attention to detail.Ability to work in a team setting.Some weekends required in winter months.Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production preferred.Benefits and PerksAll full-time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
