Job summary

Xi’an Famous Foods in New York's Central Kitchen, Woodside, NY, is seeking Production Kitchen Associates to assist with preparation, production and cleaning across vegetables, meat, dough, bread, and sauces. The role includes working in several production departments and supporting facility tasks.

Candidates must be flexible, legally eligible to work in the United States, and able to thrive in a busy kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible and have a willingness to learn new things
• Must be able to work legally in the US
• Must have experience working in a fast paced production kitchen
• Able to work in various stations with various equipment
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Punctual attendance per company policy

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparation, production, cleaning and related duties in one or more production departments
• Vegetable processing (wash/cut/package, dumpling filling prep)
• Meat processing (clean/cut/grind/package)
• Dough production (make dough, dumpling wrappers)
• Bread production (roll and bake bread/buns)
• Cooking stations (prepare stews/sauces/stocks)
• Beverages production (making teas/packaging)
