Job summary

Simmons Pet Food Inc is seeking a production team member for the Simo Kitchen on Can Line 3 in Emporia, KS. The role runs EOW days with specific afternoon and overnight-like hours; duties include following schedules, batch weighing, and QC checks.

Responsibilities cover batch processing, recording weights and lot numbers, cleaning, sanitation, and adherence to batch sheets. Candidates must have basic math, English communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Veterans are welcome.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Reading and writing skills essential.
• Computer knowledge required.
• Good communication in English required.

Responsibilities

• Follow the schedule and call for batches from the meat room as required.
• Weigh all ingredients and record weight before batching.
• Record lot numbers and supplier for each ingredient used.
• Kitchen operator is the final QC check and must notify supervisor of issues.
• Follow batch sheets and record batching information for each batch.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen during can size changes or as directed.
• Regulate drop temperature per batch sheet or supervisor instructions.
• Participate in team development and communicate improvements to achieve synergy.
