Job summary

Muon Space is building a production-ready analytics pipeline for infrared imagery from orbit, delivering calibrated, orthorectified products within tight latency budgets. You will own the data processing chain from raw frames to detections, working with remote sensing scientists to turn algorithms into reliable production code.

This hands-on role requires operating on-site three days a week in our San Jose, CA office, with a focus on reliable, scalable software that serves real-time users

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, a physical science, or equivalent practical experience.
• BS +5 years or MS +3 years of relevant professional experience beyond internships.
• Solid Python skills, and experience writing code that other people depend on.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain production data processing pipelines for infrared imagery.
• Improve pipeline performance against latency targets through profiling and optimization.
• Implement and operate workflow orchestration for continuous processing across satellites.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling; participate in on-call rotation.
