Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a technical lead to design, build, and operate production data pipelines delivering infrared mission data to government programs. You will own integration with US Government architectures, ensure secure delivery in classified environments, and lead NITF metadata work with government customers.

The role requires extensive Python development, cloud infrastructure experience, and an active US security clearance; TS/SCI preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years or Master's with 6+ years in relevant field.
• 5+ years building production software systems and data pipelines.
• Experience with US Government software architectures (NRO/IC).
• Experience integrating data delivery systems into government customer environments.
• Experience building and operating high-volume data processing pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong Python development skills; familiarity with related government tech stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production software pipelines for government programs.
• Own software integration between Muon's data platform and US Government architectures.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure delivering data into classified environments.
• Own NITF formatting of Muon's imagery and metadata design.
• Write production-ready code for processing and delivery pipelines.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Muon teams to ensure program success.
• Ensure quality and integrity of government-facing data products.
