JBS Foods in Elkhart, IN is hiring an Hourly Production Employee to join our food manufacturing team. You will operate production equipment, package and inspect products, and follow strict food safety and sanitation procedures, while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Scope of Position

We are seeking reliable and motivated production hourly employees to join our food manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently perform production task while maintaining food safety and quality standards. They will perform a key role with ensuring that our products are consistently manufactured safely and the specifications of our customers and they will be responsible for completing mandatory safety trainings applicable to their specific job assignments, complete all required Food Safety/GMP trainings.

Responsibilities

• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively.
• Expected to work hands-on at high speed production lines
• Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard.
• Assist with other production duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous manufacturing or food production experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive taskAbility to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in temperatures are near or below freezing
• Ability to work in damp cold conditions with slippery floors
