Job summary

DemKota Ranch Beef in Aberdeen, SD is seeking entry-level workers for the meat processing line. Positions involve breaking down the animal carcass, removing hide, viscera, and head, and trimming contamination after harvest. Expect a warm to hot environment (80°-100° F) with various machinery and tools.

Job Location: DemKota Ranch Beef - Aberdeen, SD 57401, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $22.00 Hourly, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Entry Level, These positions entail the process of breaking down the animal carcass. This includes removing the hide, viscera, and head. It also includes trimming all contamination from the carcass after harvest. Equipment used includes various machinery, knives, and hands. The environment for this position is warm to hot (80°-100° F).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
• Perform physical tasks which require upper body strength and constant repetitive movements.
• Stand on hard surfaces the entire shift
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift-up to 50lbs frequently, push and pull
• Ability to work in Cold or Hot areas 8 -10 hours a day.
• May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
