Job summary

RTX in Tucson is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern/co-op to troubleshoot hardware and processes, perform failure analysis, and implement corrective actions on production lines. You will work within a team on RF, analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits, with access to mentors and career development opportunities.

Eligibility requires pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field, with at least 60 credits earned by the start date.

Qualifications

At Raytheon, the Electrical Engineering Directorate is responsible for the design, test, manufacture, and support of advanced electrical subsystems (target detection, target tracking, guidance, navigation, signal processing, and communication) to be utilized in extreme battle‑field environments. What You Will Do:

• Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to CCA and component levels.
• Resolution of issues on production lines and in testing (including suppliers).
• Failure analysis / root cause determination and corrective action implementation.
• Create and present electrical engineering drawing update solutions.
• Investigate and implement process and/or test improvement projects.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co‑op session .
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co‑op session.
• Experience with one or more of the following: RF, analog, digital, mixed signal, circuit design or analysis.

• Experience in Root‑Cause Corrective Action investigations

Salary:

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Employment Type:

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
