Job summary

Bartech Staffing seeks a manufacturing supervisor in Bedford, IN to lead a team of about 20 production workers, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to work rules.

Second or third shift with weekend overtime, on-site role. Shifts include 2:30 PM-11:30 PM and 10:30 PM-7:30 AM; overtime beyond 40 hours per week may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with relevant and good experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership or manufacturing role.
• Military background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift pass-on meeting with previous shift group leader to review tasks, alignment, and safety items
• Conduct team kick-off to assign tasks, review vacation schedules, call-sets, and priorities
• Charge furnaces to maintain proper levels to support production team
• Work with maintenance team to ensure equipment is running properly
• Ensure team is working safely at all times
• Assign manpower and track timekeeping
• Execute safety and contract work rules

Job description

Lead a team of approximately 20 production workers to melt and supply molten aluminum to the production operation. Assign manpower, track and update timekeeping, and uphold and execute safety and contract work rules. Maintain a safe, productive and engaged work area in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Attend pre-shift pass-on meeting with previous shift group leader to review tasks, alignment, and safety items
• Conduct team kick-off to assign tasks, review vacation schedules, call-sets, and priorities
• Charge furnaces to maintain proper levels to support production team
• Work with maintenance team to ensure equipment is running properly

Requirements - education & experience

On-site position in Bedford, Indiana. Second or third shift (second shift is priority) with 2 out of 3 weekend overtime shifts. Second shift: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM. Third shift: 10:30 PM - 7:30 AM. No rotating shifts. Approximately 8 hours of overtime per week, working every other weekend. This role requires flexibility and openness to working overtime beyond standard 40 hours per week
