Vestas seeks a Team Lead to oversee safety, quality, delivery and productivity for the production area in Town of Brighton, NY. This role requires guiding a team to meet performance goals while upholding Vestas values and a harassment-free work environment.

You will lead by example, drive participation and collaboration, monitor performance, and ensure daily safety practices and quality compliance across the shift.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years related experience; minimum 1 year in process area or leadership roles inside Vestas.
  • Able to read and interpret operating instructions, procedure manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficient with basic Microsoft Office and company production-tracking applications.

Job description

  • Responsible and accountable for their respective team’s performance in safety, quality, delivery and productivity
  • Ensure their team’s full compliance and efforts in support of the Vestas safety and quality standards
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a positive, harassment-free work environment
  • Set an example in terms of behaviors focusing on Vestas’ core values
  • Emphasize participation, ownership, and collaboration within the team
  • Monitor the team’s performance with regards to safety, quality, delivery and schedule adherence
  • Responsible for conducting daily/monthly safety inspections in assigned area
  • Train new team members on area risk assessment and safe work practices
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards and specifications
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Minimum (1) year experience in process area required or previous leadership experience inside Vestas as Lead Operator, Team Lead, Process Instructor, Supervisor or equivalent
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily in Process area to a TDR level 4 or above
  • Able to read and interpret documents (operating / maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, engineering drawings)
  • Generate routine reports / correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Able to use the basic functionality included in the Microsoft Office Application Suite and Vestas’ proprietary or subscribed-to computer applications used for managing or tracking production-related activities (ex. time tracking, material transactions)
