Job summary

NORIT Activated Carbon in Pryor, OK is seeking a General Service Operator to support production and maintenance activities. The role involves troubleshooting, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with continuous improvement efforts to boost reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc) an asset.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions, stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs and climb heights.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including holidays/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled safety meetings and complete training requirements.
• Report abnormal conditions to Area Operator and/or Shift Supervisor.
• Keep the work area safe and clean.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The General Service Production Operator is responsible for performing various laborer activities, assisting production and maintenance personnel with troubleshooting of equipment. Notifying Area Operator and/or Shift Supervisor of equipment or process issues, You will also operate heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc), to support of business activities and continuously looking for improvement opportunities, and fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement to drive increased reliability and gained efficiencies.

This position reports into the Production Shift Supervisor and works with multiple levels at the site to ensure cooperation and coordination of all departments to meet production requirements.

• Follow safety protocols, work instructions and guidelines within the production department to ensure that all activities comply with relevant industry regulations and standards
• Operate heavy equipment (forklift, loader, etc)
