Job summary

Opti Staffing is seeking a Production Planning Expeditor in Portland, OR to coordinate material flow and keep production on schedule. You will monitor plans, identify delays, and expedite critical jobs while balancing overall demand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, expediting, scheduling, materials coordination or similar manufacturing role.
• Experience in manufacturing, machining, fabrication or industrial environments is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with excellent communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of materials and production jobs across the floor.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively identify delays or bottlenecks.
• Expedite high-priority jobs while balancing overall production demands.
• Communicate schedule updates and production status across departments.
• Analyze constraints and help develop solutions to improve workflow.
• Maintain accurate production information using ERP/MRP and MS Office.
