Job summary

Opti Staffing Group partners with a well-established Portland manufacturer to hire a Production Planning Expeditor. This role keeps manufacturing operations running smoothly and supports on-time delivery.

You will coordinate materials, monitor schedules, and work with Planning, Production, Sales, and Project Management. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, $27–$30 per hour DOE, and benefits upon permanent hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in production planning, expediting, scheduling, materials coordination, or a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, machining, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of materials and production jobs throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Monitor production schedules and proactively identify potential delays or bottlenecks.
• Work closely with Planning, Production, Sales, and Project Management to keep projects on schedule.
• Expedite high-priority jobs while balancing overall production demands.
• Communicate schedule updates and production status across departments.
• Analyze production constraints and help develop solutions to improve workflow.
• Support production planning efforts and continuous process improvements.
• Maintain accurate production information using Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
