Job summary

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. in Waggaman, LA is hiring a full-time Production Order Expeditor to monitor, coordinate, and expedite the flow of customer orders through manufacturing. This role ensures schedules, material availability, and prompt resolution of issues to meet delivery commitments.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be proficient in MS Office, and able to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced plant. AS/400 experience is preferred.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze data and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor the status of all open production and customer orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Shipping to resolve delays or constraints.
• Review material availability and escalate shortages or discrepancies to stakeholders.
• Communicate order status updates, changes, and risks to internal teams and customer service.
• Investigate and resolve order-related issues, including missing components or paperwork errors.
• Maintain accurate records within the Excel database.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and improve delivery performance.
• Communicate with vendors for shipping and tracking information.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
