Job description

(Waggaman, LA): Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a full-time Production Order Expeditor to support manufacturing operations from one of our offices in Waggaman, Louisiana. The Production Order Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and facilitating the timely flow of customer orders through the manufacturing process. This role ensures that production schedules are met, materials are available, and any issues affecting order fulfillment are identified and resolved promptly. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties
  • Track and monitor the status of all open production and customer orders to ensure on‑time delivery.
  • Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Shipping departments to resolve delays or constraints impacting order completion.
  • Review material availability and escalade shortages or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicate order status updates, changes, and potential risks to internal teams and customer service representatives.
  • Investigate and resolve order‑related issues, including missing components, documentation errors, or workflow bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records within Excel databases and company systems.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing order flow, reducing lead times, and improving delivery performance.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding shipping schedules and tracking information.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production coordination, logistics, or order expediting preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical or business education is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment with regular exposure to production areas.
  • Requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
  • May require occasional overtime based on business needs.
  • Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
