Newly Weds Foods in Chicago, IL is seeking a Supervisory Production Lead to oversee line operations and staff, ensure safety, quality, and timely order fulfillment, and collaborate with Maintenance, QA, Customer Service and Warehouse.

You will schedule personnel, conduct staff meetings, train on scanning systems, monitor GMPs, HACCP, and participate in audits while driving production efficiency and employee development on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Computer proficiency necessary for daily operations and reporting.
• Expertise in production operation—ability to organize, troubleshoot, implement, train and administer production, safety and quality principles.
• Previous supervisory experience or supervisory-related coursework/training.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule personnel to meet production requirements.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings.
• Conduct health & safety meetings with hourly staff.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Implement and train staff on scanning system.
• Implement, monitor & enforce company procedures.
• Monitor GMPs, plant sanitation and housekeeping.
• Complete daily production report.
• Attend daily production meeting.
• Plan and schedule production.
• Monitor production activities in blending and packaging.
• Monitor HACCP program relating to blending & packaging.
• Participate in Joint Health & Safety committee meetings.
• Troubleshoot blending, batching & packaging issues.
• Monitor product quality.
• Record employee hours/attendance.
• Assist in month-end inventory.
