Job summary

Creative Werks in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking an Assistant Supervisor to lead and coordinate production line tasks in a food manufacturing environment. You will oversee material verification, inventory, headcounts, safety compliance, and line cleanliness, working through shifts with a focus on QA and GMP/SQF standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify all raw materials at production line(s) for accuracy and condition.
• Perform and document material inventory at the production line.
• Perform head count and document all employees at the production line.
• Request materials for following shift, materials need to be requested a minimum of 2 hours in advance
• Must attend daily shift DDS/Handover meetings to communicate relevant information with the incoming shift personnel.
• Notify shift Supervisor immediately when any issues are identified with Safety, Materials, Equipment or People
• Maintains cleanliness of lines at all times
• Ensure employee safety at line, any unsafe conditions need to be reported to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager
• Maintain assigned reports. Accuracy of all paperwork is mandatory
• Monitor the performance of the line to meet standards while maintaining quality. Train all employees on tasks as needed.
• Enforce company rules regarding safety, GMP, SQF, discipline, cooperation and teamwork.
• Attend selected meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
• Assisting Supervisor with maintaining facility goals
• Work with Supervisor to identify root cause and corrective actions in regard to QC holds and rework.
